A Farmhouse Spring Tablescape

A farmhouse spring tablescape is a lovely way to welcome spring into the dining room. Using a theme of blush and white for a refreshing spring tablescape.

I don’t do alot of spring decorating. Just a few faux flowers and some little ceramic bunnies scattered throughout the family room.

But I do like to decorate my table for each season.

I try to keep the spring decor very light in color and minimal. After all the rain we’ve had, I wanted to keep the spring decor at a minimum. It’s been so dark and dreary, I wanted the dining room to feel refreshed and bright. Just like spring does for Mother Nature.

Getting out the ceramic bunnies and faux eggs, inspires me to get busy and decorate.

Shopping my spring decor first, I can then decide what I may want to add without spending a lot of money. By taking inventory of what I already own, I can indulge in new pieces while combining them with existing pieces. A win win for sure. No guilt for this girl!

I added a few new elements this year. Starting with the pink plates. Blush pink has by far, been my favorite color this spring. The warmth and the feminine spirit of pink adds to the table. I absolutely love this color for spring.

Flatware or Silverware

Which do you say? Flatware or silverware? I used to call it silverware till I realized it was stainless steel. Funny what we call our stuff.

I played around with the flatware. Knowing I didn’t want to use a full setting, just a fork and knife. So, I couldn’t decide if I liked the the fork on one side of the plate and the knife on the other. Or if both the fork and knife should be placed side by side. I believe I like them side by side. What do you think?

Bunnies have always been my favorite spring time figures to place on a farmhouse spring tablescape.

Using a couple of bunny egg cups, I placed a speckled egg in each one at both ends of the table.

The color blush pink is so pretty. This is my signature color this spring.

I found these amazing blush dinner plates at Pier 1 for under $4.00 each. That was a bargain.

At Home Goods, the pink striped napkins were the perfect pairing for the blush plates. The white chargers are from Pier 1. I never get tired of using these.

You just can’t have a spring table without flowers. These white tulips are not real. Can you believe it? Kirklands has some very pretty, realistic faux flowers. Two bunches of these tulips were placed in the white enamel pitcher from Ikea.

I use this Ikea pitcher in a lot of tablescapes and vignettes throughout my home. This is an inexpensive piece that if you get a chance, grab one. Ikea calls it a vase. I guess that is true. That’s the only reason I use it!

Bunnies and More Bunnies

The little marble bunny came from Pier 1 this year. He is just adorable. Plus marble is so pretty. He adds just the right amount of cuteness.

I wanted to add a little more height to my centerpiece with the cake stand from Target. The Target dollar area. The simplicity of this little cake stand makes it very versatile. I stacked my little bunny dessert plates on top. They are each in a pastel hue. I just put the pink one on top for continuity of color.

I couldn’t resist a parting shot of this adorable bunny. Another Pier 1 find, a couple of years ago. He was also a part of my centerpiece for the blue Easter tablescape I did a few years ago.

I hope you enjoyed my spring farmhouse tablescape.
