Free Happy Planner Stickers With Cricut

Free Cricut planner stickers made especially for the Happy Planner designed for the Cricut. Using the print then cut in design space.

I couldn’t find any planner stickers that were made specifically for a Cricut cutting machine and the Happy Planner.  So, I designed these free Cricut planner stickers myself to share with you.

Use A Bullet Point System In Your Planner

Planner stickers make planning much simpler and especially more fun. I find using planner stickers with some sort of bullet point like hearts or stars, made planning easier for me. I have a habit of writing complete sentences  in my planner. Which doesn’t really need to be, to get the point across on what should be accomplished day to day. By using a point system, I can use just a couple of words so I understand what I need to do each day. Fewer words mean faster planning.

I chose to make rectangles with heart bullet points to fill the daily sections. Then added a few arrow stickers with stars just to break up the planner pages. I used a berry red, gold and a dark teal. As a result, they look really pretty in the Happy Planner. Originally I used a light pink instead of the berry red. Sadly, that file was lost. I created a new file with a bright color of berry. The arrows in the new file are a little more pointy.

This file will print and cut 9 rectangles and 6 arrows. The Cricut Explore will not let you use the whole 8.5 x 11 inch paper size. There is supposed to be an update soon for design space. I hope they will increase the print then cut size.

Sticker Paper

You need to use full sheet sticker paper. Cricut makes a sticker paper. Their sticker paper is very thick. It is a card stock thickness. Too thick for me. It makes my planner pages too bulky. I like Avery sticker paper much better. It is thinner like paper. You can get it in a shiny or matte finish. Personally, I like the matte finish. The repositionable sticker paper is a bonus. I like to get my stickers placed as straight as possible so I sometimes move them. To get them straight. Don’t move them too much or they won’t stay on the paper.

Two types of sticker paper.

There is also a transparent sticker paper. I find it difficult to write on. A little bit slick for a ball point pen.

I have purchased my sticker paper from Hobby Lobby and Amazon. There are lots of stickers papers available on Amazon. I just prefer the Avery brand. Amazon does have better prices on sticker paper. Although you can use a coupon at Hobby Lobby.

Tips For Using The Print Then Cut Feature In Design Space

  • When printing your stickers, use the best quality printing option for your printer. This will make the registration marks easier for the Cricut to read.
    • If the Cricut can’t read the registrations marks, go over them with a Sharpie marker to darken them.
    • Still having difficulty with the Cricut reading the marks? Clean the sensor light with a small, clean brush.
  1. To cut the stickers with the Avery sticker paper, set the dial on the machine to custom. If using Design Space, use the custom setting. Don’t use the sticker setting. That is for Cricut sticker paper only which is card stock thick. Using that setting will cut through the backing on the regular sticker paper. Therefore, be careful of the setting you choose.
  2. Then on design space choose: Washi Tape-0.06mm.
  3. Proceed accordingly.

  1. Thank you! You saved me way too much time( and sticket paper) but putting in the washi tape 0.6mm measurement. I am cutting out my stickers as we speak!
    Thanks again!

  2. Of course I got impatient and cut a cheet of the Avery Matte Clear Sticker Project Paper using the standard Cricut Matte cutting settings. Buuut, lesson learned and I truly appreciate the tip for using the Washi Setting! Round 2 going down now!

  3. On the new Cricut Joy Xtra. I was using shipping label paper, the blade went right through, die cut. What will be my blade setting pressure for kiss cut.

    1. I haven’t worked with shipping label paper. I’m not sure what blade setting would work. You may want to ask Cricut support. Hopefully, they’ll have an answer for you.
