Happy Planner Menu Plan Stickers Using Any Cricut Cutting Machine
With the Print Then Cut feature you can make your own printable Happy Planner Menu Plan Stickers using any Cricut cutting machine.
As an avid Cricut fan, I have put together a set of meal plan stickers for you to print then cut. This feature is one of my favorites about the Cricut cutting machine. I can make stickers when ever I want. Customize them to my personal likes. Change the colors. Use a different font. Add images from Cricut’s extensive library. Or upload your own. The sky’s the limit.
Classic Happy Planner
Having all my daily plans in one place makes my day go much smoother. This includes my meal plans for the day. I have been using the Classic Happy Planner for several years now. It fits all my needs including an affordable price. See my review for the Happy Planner.
Three daily boxes allow planning your day in sections. I like to use the top section for important dates. Top tasks for the day. My absolute must do’s go in the top box.
The middle section is good for those tasks that would be nice to accomplish. Stuff that doesn’t have to be done. Just the icing on the cake type of to do’s.
The bottom section contains my meal plans for each day. I can open my planner and know at a glance what the meal plan for the day is. Keeping a meal plan is half the battle of getting dinner on the table each night.
By being able to make my own stickers, it makes filling my Happy Planner so much more fun. Plus it saves time and money so I am not buying sheets of stickers that I might only use a couple of.
Classic Happy Planner Box Size
The Classic Happy Planner box size is 1.5 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall. It’s a good size for adding stickers.
The stickers I designed do not fill the entire box. This is because I use a lot of washi tape to define the tops of my boxes. Washi tape comes in so many colors and designs. It is one of the least expensive options to decorate the Happy Planner.

How To Print Then Cut
This is the file in Cricut Design Space for the meal plan stickers.
Then press make it in the top right hand corner. Then on the next screen press continue in the lower right screen.
Next you will send this file to your printer. Make sure you loaded sticker paper in your printer. I have discussed my favorite types of sticker paper in this post about Cricut Planner Stickers.
Once your sticker paper has printed, load your mat with the sticker paper. Then add the mat to your Cricut and continue to cut using the prompts.
Different Cutting Mats For Cricut
Cricut produces different types of mats. The amount of adhesive varies on the mats.
- blue mat (light grip) is a light adhesive
- green mat (standard grip) is the regular
- purple mat (strong grip) is a strong adhesive
I prefer the green mat. It has always worked well for me. Plus the green mat is the least expensive of the three, making it the most value for the money.
Improved Design Space
Cricut Design Space has vastly improved how the Cricut reads the print then cut registration marks which is now a black box surrounding the printed image. The Cricut reads the black box by using a builtin sensor. Once it scans the printed image, the machine will cut the image or in our case the Happy Planner Menu Plan Stickers Using Cricut.
I am always amazed at how well the stickers are cut.
Cricut design space automatically adds a bleed to the images. This ensures that the image cut won’t have any white border around it. The bleed makes extra color around the image for better cutting.
You can read more about Print Then Cut on Cricut’s website.
Cricut Maker
You can use the Print Then Cut feature on any Cricut cutting machine that uses the internet and Design Space.
I am on my third Cricut. Starting with the Mini just to test the waters, so to speak. I discovered I loved making stuff with this little machine.
Then I moved onto the Cricut Explore .
This machine began using two tool holders. One for cutting and the other for a pen or scoring tool. This is a time saver by allowing you to cut and write in one step. Game changer!
Now I have the Cricut Maker. Can I say game changer again?
The Cricut Maker is by far my favorite Cricut cutting machine. Fabric can now be cut using a rotary blade and special fabric cutting mat. You could cut fabric with the other Cricut machines but the fabric had to be bonded with a stabilizer to prevent the fabric from being stretched. But now with the Cricut Maker, you can lay fabric on the special pink cutting mat without any stabilizer attached.
I have a fun pot holder project using the Cricut Maker. Sewing pot holders is a fun and quick little project. Using the Cricut Maker makes the process even faster.
Quick Tips For Print Then Cut
- The maximum size for Print Then Cut is 9.25″ x 6.75″. This feature will not utilize the full 8 1/2 by 11 size paper.

- You can upload your own images into Design Space to print then cut.
- Design Space has many images already designed for print then cut. Look for the printer icon adjacent to the image.
- Cricut Explore will only read white paper. Cricut Maker can read white and colored paper, light to medium range.
- Use the top left corner of the mat to place your printed paper. This ensures proper sensor reading.
