The Big List Of Stocking Stuffers
The final detail on my Christmas list is stocking stuffers. I don’t know why but I always seem to forget these little goodies. Stuffing a stocking is the best part of Christmas Eve. Once everyone is asleep, it is time to fill those stockings.
But with what? That has always been the hard part for me. I have put together a big list of stocking stuffer ideas for you. I hope you find these useful in capturing the spirit of stuffing those stockings.

Create A Stocking Stuffer Tradition
When my son was little more than two, we began a tradition of putting a Lifesavers Christmas Sweet Storybook in his stocking every year. We have continued that tradition for well over 25 years now. To us it is very special. A tradition we will always do as long as Lifesavers keeps making those storybooks. Everytime I place that storybook in his stocking, it brings back sweet memories.
I sewed my kids’ stockings when they were very little. They are now adults. I use these same felt stockings year after year. I feel that is a tradition in of itself.

Stores To Buy Stocking Stuffers
I am always combing Target for those small gifts to stuff the kids’ stocking with. They have a terrific dollar section. Not to mention the holiday candy aisle.
The dollar store and grocery stores are also great places for unique ideas.
Bath and Body works has great travel products. Perfect for stockings. Plus if you are on their mailing list, they periodically will mail a coupon that includes getting a travel size item for FREE! Gotta love that.
I try to keep the stocking stuffers under five dollars each. Not the gift cards, though. Starbucks is a popular gift card for us to put in our grown childrens’ stockings. Last year, we found a great deal at Costco for two gift cards for a local car wash. This was perfect for our son who had just purchased a new truck. Just keep looking, you never know where a great idea will pop up.

Great list, Carol! Boy did you bring back memories with the lifesaver storybooks – we always included them in our kid’s stockings too.
What a great list of stocking stuffer ideas! We used to get those storybook lifesavers in our stockings too. 🙂
Great list! This is handy right now since I’m at the point of needing to balance out the stocking gifts between the kids
