The best part of fall is putting on my boots for the first time of the season. There is something comforting about donning those leather boots. They give my feet a steady foundation. Not too mention they are super cute with skinny jeans. I love to hear the clack clack of the boot’s heels as I walk.
Pumpkin Spice and Everything Fall Nice
Yes, I am ready for fall. Well, almost. There is also the first home made pumpkin pie to be made and baked Yes, I make a couple of pumpkin pies each fall. I could devour an entire pumpkin pie all by myself. All by myself. But I do show restraint. That means many pies must be made. Pumpkin pies. It is the season for pumpkin pie and all things pumpkin spice. Which I do partake of. I know pumpkin spice anything and everything is a little overdone. It is just one time of year though. A short season. So enjoy all those pumpkin spice lattes and anything else pumpkin spice related.
Pumpkin Pie Recipe
I thought I would share my pumpkin pie recipe with you. I am a little unconventional with my pumpkin pie. Now just a little. Are you ready for this? I use……….2% milk intsead of evaporated milk. Are you cringing that I dare to not use evaporated milk? I have even when feeling indulgent have used heavy cream instead of the evaporated milk. You know what? The heavy cream makes the pumpkin pie extra creamy. So yummy. Now the 2% milk tastes just like I used the evaporated milk.
