YouTube is my go to for Christmas card inspiration. These are some very talented people who use the Cricut Explore to create some stunning greeting cards. I have imitated them. I have learned so much about my Cricut from them. I thought you might need some inspiration, too.
What is it about little red trucks hauling Christmas trees? They are so stinkin’ cute. I created the above card with my cricut, card stock and a dollar stamp set from Michaels. Mary from Card Crazy was my inspiration. Here’s her youtube video for this adorable truck card.
Christmas Card Making Tip
I edge shaded the parts of the truck using Tim Holz Distress Ink pads and a blending sponge. This gives the card some depth. It made my little red truck show a bit of age.A touch of vintage. I also used this technique on the snowman below.
Making this card was my first experience using the print then cut feature using Cricut Design Space. I printed the snowman and the Holly Jolly Sign on my printer. Then used the Cricut to cut it out. I am in awe of this. I love how this turned out. Lorrie Nunemaker was my inspiration for this card. Here’s her youtube video on this fun little card.
Here’s my Christmas card from last year. My inspiration for it came from Melanie Brown of Courtney Lane Designs. She has a youtube channel but I couldn’t find a video for this card. She has a lovely blog with lots of ideas.
My card making skills have improved so much because of the generosity of you tubers and bloggers sharing their expertise.
If you haven’t used your die cutting machine, just open it up and cut something. You’ll be hooked.
Please share your favorite Cricut YouTubers with me.
