Welcome to my Fall Kitchen Tour 2015. Here, I have gathered my best decorating ideas for fall. Decorating my kitchen for fall is both pleasant and stressful. It is a work in progress. Since remodeling our kitchen 18 months ago, I am still adding dining furniture and wall decor. We have a long wall along the dining area of the kitchen that is hard for me to decide what to do with it. I added a buffet from Pottery Barn which I love. I am still in the process of deciding on wall decor. Tough decisions.
Nearly all the decor is new this year. I weeded through my fall decor last year of items I no longer use. Pumpkins, however, will always play a part in my decor whether they are orange, white or beige. I adore them all. My mister and I DIY’d the chalkboard. I am loving it although I still need to learn how to do fancy writing on it. I traced a printable from Domestically Speaking and free handed the welcome. This was fun to do but I now I want to learn calligraphy with chalk.
I added the little pumpkin bakers from World Market in the tiered stand along with some faux green apples. I got the idea from Liz Marie Blog. She has such great ideas and wonderful decor finds. She is the sweetest blogger. The painted chalkboard pie plate is also from World Market this year. I just can’t get enough of chalkboard decor.
The metal olive pail I filled with a cream throw. Then added rustic pumpkins and some faux mini white pumpkins on top. A throw is a great filler. Provided you don’t need it to wrap in. Give us another month and the throw will find it’s way to the couch.
All I did to my dining table was add sprigs of fall leaves to the trough. I left the blue mason jars and the red table table runner I sewed earlier this year. I really like the simplicity of the table especially since we use it every day for meals.
Now I can’t forget my kitchen counters. I added very little. A couple of trays, a ceramic pumpkin and my electric, pumpkin shaped tart warmer. The mug tree has a couple of autumn mugs I have collected. Again very simple since the kitchen counter is needed daily.
I have an obsession with Williams and Sonoma towels and pot holders. I had to display them on the hanging bar I installed on the kitchen island. The family knows these are off limits for actual use. Do you do that?
I have enjoyed showing you my fall kitchen. I am sure I will change more things because even as I am typing this post, I have added more to my wall decor.
