Driving to work yesterday I noticed the leaves are changing just a bit. The temperatures have dipped this week. I love the changing colors of fall. The crispness of the fall air. My fall family room reflects that. The colors of fall are just beautiful. The reds, oranges, hint of fading green.
Here is the coffee table all changed for the fall season. Lots of pumpkins. Of course I added candles. They add a touch of warmth. I used a bit of white to balance the color. I put most of the decor in the wooden tray to give the vignette some dimension.
That’s my Pottery Barn pumpkin pillow in the swivel chair. I love that chair. It swivels so you can face the couch to talk or turn it to watch tv. The swivels stops me from using a table there though. Maybe I can find some type of table that would work with that chair.
I didn’t change the mantel too much from my summer look. I added a fall leaves candle ring to the lantern with a candle.
I used a neutral color story on the mantle. Galvanized metal, white, brown and a bit of red.
I hung the sign I made last year. I elevated the white pumpkin on the little red stool. When a you look at the mantle, you see that each end is tall then dips in the middle. This makes the sign a focal point.
On the back wall, I added a framed picture from Kirkland’s. On this bookcase I used pumpkins, acorns and the fall printable I created last year. You can go to this post for the fall printable.
Look at the little truck filled with pumpkins and gourds. Simply adorable. I found it at Hobby Lobby last month. I snatched it up immediately. The colors are perfect. Great addition.
That’s my fall family room. Thus far. I seem to change up decor daily. It’s hard to keep things in one place. Or keep from adding throughout the season. Do you do that too?
