The Christmas decorating is nearly done. Better be since Christmas is less than a week away. I am sharing my family room and foyer. I really don’t own that many decorations and a lot of that is no longer in style. So, once this season is over and it’s time to put away the decor I will be only keeping what I love. Regardless.
This my nativity and a tray holding candles and little items. It sits on the sofa table which is huge.
Pillows bring such warmth to a couch. Make it so much more inviting. I changed out most of the pillow covers to Christmas. I used some holly carved candles on gold pillars with a basketful of gold ornaments on the coffee table. Just the right amount.
The pillow covers on the chair I sewed this year. I showed how I made the santa sleigh one in this post. You can see the screened in porch from here. It is way too cold to decorate that room.
This my display on the curio cabinet. The santa is so cute standing guard next to the picture
This is what you see when entering from the foyer. Now onto the foyer.
I used a reindeer them here. I made the canvas reindeer picture using my Cricut Explore, vinyl and paint. Easy , fast and inexpensive.
I used my silver reindeer and some jingle bells to accent my picture.
In the vase I stuck a strand of faux garland into the vase and put several picks of faux berries. I think it turned out very festive.
I hung the wreath on the mirror using a command hook , These work very well.
I have taken my time decorating for Christmas this year. It is much more relaxing to do a little at a time. This gives room for reflection . Have you taken your time this year? Or do you get it all done a weekend?
