I am finally able to show you a little Christmas decorating that I have been doing. My best Christmas mantel yet. Between work obligations and coming down with a winter cold, I am behind getting my Christmas decorations up. The decorations are almost done. I still have the formal dining room and the kitchen dining area to finish.
I took these pictures during a dreary rainy afternoon. So please excuse the grainy and dark images as I tried to lighten them. Winter weather does nothing for photography.
I am really pleased with how this Christmas mantel came together. I used my Santa figurines, garland and gold ornaments. I think I achieved a full and lush mantel.
I sewed and embroidered the Christmas stockings several years ago for my son and daughter. I also used the Christmas Pallet Sign I made last year as a backdrop. You can see how I made it in this post.
I have several Believe signs scattered around the family room. One of them is in the center of the stockings. Believe is such a strong sentiment for Christmas and every day of the year.
Here is a close up of one side of the Christmas mantel. The ornaments are from The Dollar Tree. Several of them are glittered. Sparkle and shine is so important to celebrate the holiday season. The stocking hangers are several years old. Actually I have purchased nothing new for this Christmas mantel. Such a good feeling to use decorations that you already own and using it differently each time you pull it out of the box. Not to mention the nostalgia.
Here is a close up of the other side of the mantel. I have a Bath and Body candle and candle holder nested in the garland. These candles are my favorite. The scent fills my entire house. I have a candle stockpile. You can see how I organize the candle storage in this post.
I hope you enjoyed my Christmas mantel. Are you all decorated for Christmas or do you have more to do?
