Before removing the wallpaper in our foyer last year, I never decorated this room. Now, it is one of my favorite rooms to decorate. Lesson is if you don’t like a room in your house, change it. Don’t wait.
This is a simple foyer that opens to the living room, dining room and family room as well as the front stairs. I love the simplicity of the console table with a mirror over it and an inviting chair. Those pieces don’t change and I leave the beach pictures up. I just love them and don’t want to replace them even for just a season.
I have continued my pumpkin theme with the little pumpkins and the gourds in the wheel barrel. The little fall sign I made using my Cricut and vinyl a couple of years ago. The basket on the shelf holds my candle storage. In the lantern, there are battery operated tea lights. Those are great to have on at night.
I added the vase to the side of the table. This space needed something to balance the table and chair in the foyer. I think the pumpkins and stalks in the vase add interest and height to the side of the table. It is now more visually appealing. Oh and those baskets on the floor hold more candles. Can you see a
hoarding stocking up issue going on here?
I also stuck a fall candle wreath to the top of the mirror. This just adds a pop of fall decor. The warm colors of fall are so inviting. My fall foyer is now complete for the harvest season. The chair is very comfortable. So, if you want to read a book or simply sit and watch the leaves change, this is the room to do it.
