I went ahead and decorated my little table in the screened in porch for Easter Breakfast. My Easter table on the porch. This is a delightful way to start the day. The sun was out and I had spring fever. This is one of my favorite times of year. I love the cheery bright pastel colors that Mother Nature gives us. I am thrilled with all the colorful flowers popping up especially after the long, gray winter.
I used green, yellow and white as my main colors. Since this tablescape is only for breakfast which will probably be muffins and juice, I only set out one plate at each setting on top of a white wooden charger. I have used these chargers in many table settings. I love them. The chargers and plates are from Pier One. The plates have little dots on the edges and are kind of scalloped in shape. These details make these plates special.
I finally this year got some Bunny Egg Cups. These are adorable. I put a faux speckled egg in each one. So there is a bunny heading each place setting. I think candles add a lot to a table. In each blue mason jar there is a tea light. The white lantern is just the right height for the center of the table. I don’t like anything too tall. Then you can’t see the person sitting across from you. The lantern contains a votive candle. The candle is beach scented. I seem to gravitate toward that scent.
Normally, I use table runners for my casual table settings but Easter is extra special. So I brought out my tablecloth with matching napkins. I like tucking napkins beneath plates. This works especially well on small tables. As we get closer to Easter, I will bring out the silverware and glasses. This is a good start.
