Scarecrows are adorable. I have collected a few over the years. I even sewed my son a stuffed scarecrow one year. So, this year I decided to put all of them on my mantel for a scarecrow theme. My fireplace is in the family room. Having a fire in the fireplace is the only thing I like about the weather turning cold.
The hurricane candle holders contain little dried pumpkins from Pottery Barn. They are called Pumpino Vase Filler. Cute name, huh? There’s also an owl or two hanging out. One didn’t make it into the picture.
I also displayed a fall vignette on one of my side tables in the family room next to my couch. I haven’t showed my couch yet because I would really like to replace it. We got it during my infatuation with all things being blue including the couch and chair which resides in this room.
Hydrangeas are my favorite flower next to roses. Hydrangeas are just so big and full. Sadly these are not real. My real hydgrangea flowers died out a couple of months ago due to the unpredicatable weather. So I put some faux ones in a copper colored metal container. I like how they turned out. The little sign I made last year using my cricut and vinyl. Making signs with my cricut is one project I like to do a lot.
Lastly, I redecorated my tray that sits on the family room coffee table. I really like the simplicity of this setting. Just two fall candle sticks and a bowl of faux acorns. The candlesticks I got a few years ago at Ace Hardware of all places. You just never know where you’ll find decorations.
I do have one more post about fall decor. I have to show you my front porch. Until then, hope you’re having a great day. Thanks for visiting.
