This the recipe for Baked Doughnuts. Mine don’t look anything like they do on the King Arthur Flour site but they do taste delicious.
Here are the doughnut pans all greased and ready to go. They are made by Nordic Ware.
Filling them is a little challenging. This recipe really makes more than a dozen. I am impatient so I overfilled them. This meant that there were almost no holes in my doughnuts. Which is okay. What I have done is filled my two pans, baked them then refilled one of the pans and baked again. Not this time though. I filled and then used a spoon to scrape the batter off the middle indention. The doughnuts baked and filled the hole anyway so do not overfill your pans if you want pretty doughnuts.
dusted poured the cinnamon sugar mixture over the doughnuts. They are just better that way.
I just got a request to make another batch. Great for snacks and breakfast. Need to stock up on some canned pumpkin.
